  • What are your opening & closing times?
    Please note we are closed on bank holidays.
  • Do you need to be a member to shoot?
    No, we welcome everyone to come and use our facilities here at Ashcombe Shooting Ground. We will be offering a membership - the details of which will follow soon.
  • What is your What3Words address?
    Our What3Words address is: Breezy/Flagged/Strapping
  • Is food and drink available?
    Our kitchen can prepare hot food for you as well as offering hot and cold drinks from our menu which features locally sourced produce. If you would like to enjoy breakfast or a meal before your activity, please arrive well ahead of your scheduled activity time. Our food menu can be found under the Food & Beverages tab on our website. *Food can be ordered by prior arrangement for larger parties.
  • What do I do when I get there?
    On arrival, please drive up the track with the trees on your left-hand side. When you reach the end of those trees stop by the fence and come into main reception which is located through the double doors and up the stairs. Check in at reception where we will take payment for your balance and assemble your group ready for the activity to begin. You will either then be collected by your instructor or directed out to their location. If you are running late, please do let us know on 01626 866766
  • Do I need to book to shoot?
    We do work on an appointment only basis for lessons and shooting experiences, corporate packages and archery. However, for practice you can turn up whenever you'd like to do within our opening hours.
  • How do I use the booking experiences system?
    We hope the booking experiences tab is not to daunting. However, if you are still unsure please follow these steps: 1. Choose the experience you would like. 2. Select your date and time. 3. Click Book Now. 4. Enter your personal details. For a more detailed instruction on how to use our booking system, please click the button below:
  • What date/time is my booking?
    Depending on how you've booked in you should receive an email confirmation with the date and time of your event on. If you are unsure or haven't received this then please contact us. If you have booked an experience online then your confirmation email will include the current UK time zone which will be GMT or GMT +1 during the summer.
  • Can I book an experience or lesson on the day?
    Yes! Please give us a call and we will endeavour to try and fit you in, but please be aware that we cannot guarantee that we will have enough instructors free.
  • What do I need to wear?
    Sensible clothing according to the weather. Non restrictive clothing is always helpful as you will need to turn and point without clothing tightening across the shoulders but do not wear baggy clothes as it may cause the gun to slip out of position. Wellingtons or boots are a good idea if it has been raining. A cap is good if it is sunny.
  • I am a beginner, is this okay?
    We endeavour to create a very warm and friendly atmosphere allowing all to feel welcome and comfortable. We guarantee that you will be looked after during your visit.
  • How early should I get to you?
    Please arrive at least 15 minutes early to allow us to make sure you are ready to begin on time.
