Well, that’s a wrap for the 2024 ATA Cup.. and what a weekend it was.
Thank you so much to all of you who came along to support us for our inaugural event.
Congratulations to the High Gun winner, Martin Myers, who shot a phenomenal 117 ex 120 to take the win on a course that was set for 114. (For those who want to know he missed a left-to-right orange on 10, one of the tower birds on 13 and an A bird on the last stand !! Though he did make 3 out of 4 of the tower birds look scarily easy.

This event couldn’t have happened without the fantastic support of ATA, who very kindly helped with the dressing of the ground and the tremendous prizes that were on offer. Further support came from Sportsman Gun Centre and the hard work of all staff at Ashcombe, who not only helped to build, provide and maintain a great course but groomed the ground to within an inch of its life.
Simone's work behind the scenes over the last few weeks has made the admin run smoothly over the weekend. The ground looked amazing so much so that I don’t think Paul ever wants to see another strimmer and Don is certainly never painting a cage again! Justin helped keep things moving along smoothly while Mike kept the food coming out of the kitchen. A big thanks as well to Scott, our stand-in student, for doing a great job on the desk over the weekend.
Thanks as always to you for supporting us and we hope to see you back for the Browning Sporting Masters in a couple of months.
For those who want to shoot it again or have a go, we will be leaving the course up in its entirety for practice for the next 2 weeks.
